The Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) is an educational opportunity for Rotarians to develop their leadership skills.  The courses provide the attendees greater depth in Rotary knowledge.  The goal is to motivate the participants to be enthusiastic, creative, and dedicated Rotarians.  Those attending the three course days for their full duration will receive recognition of completion.  Course methods will reflect the most innovative and participatory methods possible.  Methods will include discussion groups, role-playing, problem solving workshops, and group planning exercises.  A key feature of RLI is that that there are few lectures throughout the day.

Most RLI events are multi-District occasions.  This combined with the fact that the instructors are Rotarians from outside the District provides each participant the opportunity to discover Rotary beyond his/her Club.  This past weekend ReCSWUSA member Ola Olugbodi attended RLI in his home country.  While attending this event, he was able to present Rotary International Director-Elect Olayinka Hakeem Babalola.  RIDE Yinka Babalola is from the Rotary Club of Trans Amadi, Rivers State, Nigeria and will be serving on the 2018/20 RI Board of Directors.
