Please welcome Joe Sweeney, District 5495 Governor for the 26-27 Rotary year!  One of the many District Governor responsibilities is to visit every club in the Rotary District.  Being a virtual on-line club, Joe will visit our club via Zoom on Tuesday August 11, 2026 at 8:00am Phoenix time.  We invite and encourage EVERYONE to attend. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet the Governor, connect with our E-club Board and one another.  Joe is engaging, has a wonderful sense of humor, and is very interested in meeting our membership!  Let's give a warm Rotary E-club welcome to DG Joe!

Yay, we did it! Our E-club website is now updated and connected to Clubrunner. Home Page | Rotary E-Club of the Southwest, USA

Huge thanks to Jim Bissonett, Mel Taunt, and Omar from Clubrunner. We’ll be adding more content as we go—so much to learn! Our first online meeting of the Rotary year is tomorrow morning, and we hope everyone can join. Let’s connect, share our Rotary passions, and explore how our E-club can partner in local projects. I’d love to hear from everyone—what’s happening in your area, what’s new with you, your travels, career updates, goals, life lessons, or anything you’d like to share. Let’s create and exchange stories of interest!

E-clubs around the world are connecting, sharing ideas, challenges, and successes. The last meeting topics included - how to serve virtually and how to measure impact and communicate it effectively.  Some on-line clubs select a theme each month (food insecurity, literacy, etc.), encourage members to engage locally, and send in pictures that are shared in the next meeting.  Several E-clubs are cause based and aligned with a Rotary Action Group (Malaria, Peace, Human Trafficking, etc.).  One club shared a “Member Impact Form” that members complete for each service project, this information is then entered into the Rotary International Service Project Center and submitted to the District newsletter.  So many opportunities for meaningful engagement, please email me, with your ideas.  abalos.sandy@gmail.com

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Sandy Abalos
