This week President-Elect Óscar Carreón García and his wife, Hilda, are giving their time, talents, and treasury in service to others in missionary outreach of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. This outreach includes the promotion of health and projects to improve living standards. Óscar and Hilda operate an ophthalmological center in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Each year, they travel to a location where these services are not readily available. They are travelling to Cuba this year to distribute glasses. Contributions from our fellow eClub members in Monterrey and the Seventh-day Adventist Church helped to defray the costs of the glasses. Leading by example, PE Óscar is demonstrating Rotary: Making a Difference.
