While Youth Service is the newest Avenue of Rotary Service, local clubs have a long and rich history of working with youth and young adults. Youth Service recognizes the positive change made available by through leadership development activities, service projects, and exchange programs. The programs and projects aim to provide innovative and practical opportunities to assist young people in our communities to acquire learning and life skills.
Today’s youth and young adults are eager to make a difference in their communities and are seeking direction. At the 2018 Rotary International Assembly, Past District Governor Ramchandani gave an inspiring presentation. PDG Haresh spoke on the importance of showing the core Rotary values to the kids now so they can have the skills in the future. He explains how Youth Service is an investment in the future. Rotary’s commitment to Youth Service within and through our clubs is a commitment to the next generation of potential Rotarians and the ongoing future and health of our clubs.
