We are always delighted to welcome new members to the Rotary e-Club of the Southwest USA, especially those who have prior Rotary experience. As one of the original Rotary e-Clubs with a global reach, we’ve pioneered a fresh and evolving approach to Rotary membership. Here are a few key points prospective members should understand to enjoy their membership and contribute to Rotary’s service goals.
While e-Club membership offers excellent flexibility for those with busy and changing schedules, don’t expect the internet to bring Rotary to you. Instead, it’s a tool to help you connect with Rotary and pursue your service interests. It may sound like a subtle distinction, but it’s an important one. Self-driven individuals who actively seek engagement within our club or local clubs will truly benefit from this flexibility. ReCSWUSA is distinctly different from a traditional Rotary “terra club.”
The lack of regular, automatic face-to-face contact among members poses a challenge for our eClub. To remain a viable Rotary club, we must actively reach out to each other for fellowship and service. Without this, we weaken the chain of teamwork, diminish the value of membership, and fail to uphold The Four-Way Test.
Our motto, “Service without Borders,” reflects our truly global nature as an eClub spanning continents, nations, and cultures. We view our diversity as an opportunity to explore and celebrate new ways of Rotary service. Members are encouraged to connect with local terra clubs, meet Rotarians during travels, and engage with other community organizations they support. Such connections often lead to hands-on service projects, collaborative initiatives, or opportunities to leverage grants.
We aim to be a 100% Paul Harris Fellows club, with all members supporting the Rotary Foundation by donating at least $100 annually.
As a global eClub, we continually seek innovative ways to advance Rotary’s service goals and welcome members who are ready to actively shape the future vision of the Rotary E-club of the Southwest USA and participate in Service without Borders.
